Application:
If the tripod head is to be connected directly to the camera, the 1/4" thread is used in conjunction with the round photo plate with cork. For this purpose, the double-threaded screw is screwed into the ball with the 3/8" side first, but only so far that the material thickness of the photo plate still protrudes. Now the photo plate is turned onto the 3/8" thread. The photo plate and the 3/8" thread must be flush with each other. If everything is mounted correctly, the 1/4" thread is now above the photo plate and the camera can be mounted.

If the tripod head is to be connected to a photo base, the double threaded screw is screwed into the ball with the 1/4" side first. It is more advantageous if the screw is first screwed into the base as far as it will go and then the base is screwed into the ball.
